Dennis & Katrina
There must really be something enchanting that our couple Dennis & Katrina, together with their friend-multitalented-host Atom Ungson, saw in Sitio Remedios that they choose it for their wedding reception venue. With all the happy troubles of flying or driving themselves to Ilocos Norte, and with around 95% of their guests travelling lengthily from Manila and other parts of the world, food and more delectable food is anticipated. And of course, they aren’t disappointed. They’re very happy that some really took time to dine again at Rufino’s Paoay the following day, and the couple to visit us again in Bistro Candon another day after.
For their cocktails, our team made empanadas using our own rice (ground and powdery, called riceflour), mongo, grated papaya, and Ilocos Norte Longanisa. We added an assortment of cheese, fruits, chips, and our client provided the perfect accompaniment of rose and red wines.
For their main appetizers, we served tender lechon baka wrapped in our own pita bread with Chef Nic’s unbeatable dressing. Their buffet is an epic set of U.S. Hanging Tenders Salpicao, Gourmet Bagnet on carving station, Indonesian Chicken, Pan-grilled Norwegian Salmon with Fresh Tomato Cream Sauce, Asparagus and French Beans with Slivered Almonds, Aglio e Olio Pasta, and the indispensable white rice.
If the main buffet is King, the desserts stations is equally Queen. Present were signature choco & carrot cakes, leche flan in shot glasses, yet, our guests are still looking for the legendary brazo de Mercedes! The missing Mercedes gave them the strongest reason to dine at Rufino’s the next day!
Cheers to a blissful and yummy marriage, Dennis & Chin!
